POSITION SUMMARY 

George Hills is seeking an Administrative Analyst to assist in the operation of our client, California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA). CalMHSA is an Independent Administrative and Fiscal Government Agency focused on the efficient implementation of California mental health projects. Currently CalMHSA administers statewide and regional prevention and early intervention programs, aimed at preventing suicide, and reducing stigma and discrimination for people with mental illness. This position is ideal for a current or recent graduate student of social work, public policy or health administration, and work experience will be considered in lieu of education. The candidate must have excellent writing skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills. The candidate must be flexible, able to work independently, follow established time-lines, and manage multiple projects

Position Overview 

Under the direct supervision of the JPA Administrative Manager, the Administrative Analyst shall: 

 Supports quality performance of contractors 

 Monitors and/or provide status updates on contracts to management staff, as assigned 

 Prepares CalMHSA contracts for services based on staff client meetings. 

 Tracks CalMHSA contract drafts, final contracts, execution and distribution. 

 Manages, ensures collection of and compliance of all certificates of insurance from contractors. 

 Assembles, manipulates, and analyzes data from various sources as needed 

 Drafts Minutes from Board Meetings and works collaboratively with staff to complete writing assignments 

 Independently completes assignments in accordance with deadlines 

 Maintains relationships with external partners 

 Assists on events, including outreach, invitations, research, and materials coordination 

 Supports communication efforts to relevant audiences external and internal to the organization; including maintaining website. 

 Assist with fund development efforts 

 Assist with Each Mind Matters communication efforts 

 

Education and Experience 

A Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in social work, public policy, sociology, psychology, public administration, or related field is desirable. Work experience in related fields may be substituted for educational requirements. The ideal candidate will be required to take a written exam. 

Compensation 

The annual salary range for this position is based on experience.
